Update: The Kings have two games remaining before the All-Star break and they appear to be in major need of some rest and rehabilitation after a hectic recent schedule. Center Mike Richards, speaking at a shoot-around Thursday morning before that night’s 2-1 loss to Calgary, praised the stellar effort coming from Kings goalie Jonathan Quick on a nightly basis. “Quickie has been playing out of his mind,” Richards said. “It’s frustrating, not only probably for him, but for us, not giving him the goal support that he deserves some nights. When he loses 2-1, we feel for him. And I can’t imagine what he is saying in his head about us. He plays his heart out. He makes a ton of saves and holds us in a lot of hockey games. We count on him a lot when we have defensive breakdowns and we’ve got to start doing a better job of scoring some goals for him.”
