Update: Defenseman Sean O’Donnell will return after serving a five-game suspension for striking an opponent in the head in an exhibition game. He ranked sixth in the NHL last season in time on the ice while short-handed (323 minutes 54 seconds) and was key to the Kings’ seventh-ranked penalty-killing unit. This season, the penalty killers have yielded five goals in seven times short. Peter Harrold, who filled in capably in the Kings’ win over San Jose on Tuesday, will sit. Jonathan Quick will start in goal. The Wild lost its opener to Columbus but rallied to beat the Ducks in overtime Tuesday.
