Spurs arrive in L.A. after flight delays
The San Antonio Spurs got off to a slow start preparing for their Western Conference Finals matchup against the Lakers.
The Spurs intended to fly last night from New Orleans to Los Angeles, but they ended up spending the night on their plane because of mechanical problems, according to a team spokesman.
The Spurs on Monday won Game 7 of their semifinal playoff series against the Hornets, 91-82.
The Spurs, the defending NBA champions, arrived in Los Angeles this morning but won’t practice today.
Their best-of-seven-games series against the Lakers begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Staples Center.
