Dwight Powell had his third double-double in five games and Anthony Brown scored 11 points in the final 10 minutes to help Stanford beat California, 80-69, on Wednesday night in Berkeley.
Brown finished with 16 points and six rebounds while Powell had 22 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for Stanford.
Chasson Randle added 19 points for the Cardinal.
Justin Cobbs had 24 points and five rebounds for California, which sputtered offensively in its first game since upsetting then-No. 1 Arizona last week. Tyrone Wallace added 21 points and four rebounds.
The Golden Bears were within 52-47 with 13 minutes left when Brown took over for Stanford.
The Cardinal handed the Bears just their second home loss this season.
at Colorado 68, Washington State 63: Askia Booker scored 26 points, including six of eight free throws in the final minute, and the Buffaloes hung on to beat the Cougars.
Xavier Johnson added 20 points and nine rebounds for Colorado, which swept the season series with Washington State.
DaVonte Lacy scored a career-high 34 points for Washington State. He made eight three-pointers.
Ike Iroegbu added 10 points for the Cougars, who remain winless in five conference games on the road.
