Blue Leads UCLA’s Rout of Oregon State

Nikki Blue had 17 points, 10 assists and six steals, and Lisa Willis added 13 points, 12 rebounds and five steals at Corvallis, Ore., to lead UCLA over Oregon State, 74-54, on Saturday night.

UCLA (13-7, 7-4 in the Pacific 10) missed 12 of its first 13 shots and fell behind 10-2. But the Bruins crashed the offensive boards, fixed their shot selection and went on a 20-4 run to take control.

Casey Bunn had 15 points for the Beavers (5-15, 1-10), who have lost nine of their last 10 games.

Anita Rivera added 10 points off the bench for the Beavers, who missed 16 of 18 three-point attempts.

UCLA established a 35-20 lead at the break and then scored the first nine points of the second half to turn the game into a rout. The Bruins led by 32 points at one point before letting their reserves finish up.

Oregon 81, USC 59 -- Cathrine Kraayeveld and Andrea Bills each had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oregon in Eugene, Ore.

Oregon (14-6, 7-4) shot 61.7% from the field and ended a three-game losing streak to USC (14-6, 8-3).

Eshaya Murphy had 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench and Brynn Cameron scored 11 for the Trojans, who lost for just the second time in their last 10 games.

Kraayeveld, a 6-foot-4 senior All-American candidate, made nine of 11 shots, including all four of her three-point attempts.

Bills, a 6-3 senior center, was nine for 14 from the field, with three blocks and three assists.

No. 4 Stanford 69, Washington State 56 -- Susan King Borchardt, Sebnem Kimyacioglu and Azella Perryman each scored 10 points for Stanford at Pullman, Wash.

The Cardinal (19-2, 10-1) has won 10 in a row and improved to 40-0 all-time against Washington State. Charmaine Jones led the Cougars (5-15, 1-10) with 12 points.

The Cougars led, 22-19, before Kimyacioglu made a three-point basket with 6:27 left in the first half. That sparked a 16-4 run to finish the half.
