Update: The Sparks won the only meeting between the teams this season, 90-64 on July 13 in Connecticut. The rematch pits sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike against each other for the second time in their WNBA careers. Nneka led the Sparks with 24 points and Chiney scored a team-high 18 for Connecticut in the previous game. The sisters were No. 1 draft picks, Nneka in 2012 and Chiney in 2014. The Sparks have won two of their last three games, with their only loss coming against Phoenix, the Western Conference leader. The Sun ended a losing streak at four games Friday with an 89-79 victory over San Antonio but remains in last place in the Eastern Conference.
