Update: With three regular-season games left, the Sparks are poised to make the playoffs, but they loosened their grip on third place in the Western Conference after an 82-76 loss to the fourth-place San Antonio Stars on Sunday. The Sparks still have a half-game edge over the Stars. If the standings remain as is, the Sparks would take on the second-place Lynx in the first round of the playoffs. Minnesota’s 11-game winning streak ended Saturday with an 82-80 loss to Phoenix, the Western Conference leaders. Lynx forward Maya Moore leads the WNBA in scoring this season with 24.3 points per game.
