UCLA recruiting: Offensive lineman Josh Wariboko picks Bruins

Share

UCLA is closing strong on signing day.

The Bruins beefed up their offensive line corps Wednesday as Josh Wariboko announced on ESPNU that he would sign with the Bruins.

Wariboko, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound guard from Oklahoma City Casady High, orally committed to Oklahoma in June 2013, but reopened his recruitment last spring. The Sooners remained in the picture, as was Ohio State.

“When I visited this summer, I saw the energy and what [Coach] Jim Mora had going there,” Wariboko said on ESPNU.

Wariboko is ranked 105th among the ESPN 300 high school players. He is ranked eighth among guards by Rivals.com and 10th by Scout.com.

UCLA already picked up tight end Chris Clark and running back Soso Jamabo

“There is always an element to momentum in this recruiting thing,” Wariboko said.
