* Roberto Nelson, Santa Barbara: Scored 24 points and made two free throws with 30 seconds left to give the Dons a lead they wouldn’t relinquish in their 61-58 Channel League victory over Ventura.

* Johnny Harewood, Pasadena Poly: Recorded 29 points in the host Panthers’ 53-38 Prep League win over Webb.

* D.J. Gay, Sun Valley Poly: Senior finished with 25 points, leading the Parrots, ranked No. 22 by The Times, to a 73-49 Sunset Six League win over Verdugo Hills.

* Quincy Perry, Chaparral: Scored 31 points in the visiting Pumas’ 72-62 Southwestern League victory against Temescal Canyon.

* James Harden, Artesia: Recorded 25 points as the host Pioneers, The Times’ top-ranked team, defeated Norwalk, 102-29, in Suburban League play.

* Jesse Zarate, North Hollywood: Finished with 21 points and made two free throws with five seconds left in overtime to lift the visiting Sheiks to a 66-63 victory over Sunset Six League rival Grant. Zarate scored eight of his team’s 10 overtime points.

* Drew Bruns, El Toro: Senior guard had 25 points, six rebounds and two steals and made a game-winning three-pointer with five seconds left in regulation to lift the Chargers, ranked No. 14 by The Times, to a 66-64 Sea View League win over Trabuco Hills.

* Charles Odum, St. John Bosco: Had a career-high 34 points and 12 rebounds as the visiting Braves defeated Orange Lutheran, 54-51, in Trinity League play.

* Michael Meza, Simi Valley: Led the visiting Pioneers with 26 points and 12 rebounds in their 65-58 victory over Royal in Marmonte League competition.

* Lewis Green and Gerard Glass, Great Oak: Green scored 25 points and Glass made a pair of game-clinching free throws as visiting Wolfpack defeated Southwestern League opponent Murrieta Valley, 71-70.
