Lakers announce additions to Luke Walton’s coaching staff
The Lakers on Friday officially named a group of assistant coaches to Coach Luke Walton’s staff.
Jud Buechler, Brian Keefe and Theo Robertson were named as player development coaches.
The Lakers also announced that Casey Owens, who had been the organization’s head coach of the D-Fenders, will now be an assistant coach/advance professional scout.
Will Scott will remain as the Lakers’ video coordinator.
They join assistant coaches Brian Shaw, who is the associate head coach, Jesse Mermuys and Mark Madsen on the staff.
Buechler played 12 seasons in the NBA and won three NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.
Keefe spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with the New York Knicks, and Robertson spent the last two seasons with the Golden State Warriors.
