D-Fenders set NBA Development League scoring record with 175 points

The D-Fenders (5-10) set an NBA Development League record Saturday night, scoring 175 points in a win over the Reno Bighorns (5-6).

The Lakers’ D-League affiliate also set records with most points in a single quarter (56) and half (94).

Guard/forward Manny Harris, who played with the Lakers last season on a pair of 10-day contracts, notched a triple-double with 39 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers’ three affiliate players, each of which went through training camp with the Lakers, all had big nights. Forward Roscoe Smith scored 22 points with 16 rebounds, Jabari Brown contributed 28 points and Keith Appling added 22 points.

Ater Majok, the Lakers’ 58th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, scored 18 points with seven rebounds.

Former Denver Nuggets forward Quincy Miller led the Bighorns with 28 points off the bench.

Vander Blue scored 26 points with 12 assists for the D-Fenders.
