For the second time this season, the Lakers sent Jordan Clarkson and Xavier Henry to the D-Fenders for a Saturday game in the NBA Development League.

Despite adding two NBA players, the D-Fenders lost their fourth game in five tries on Saturday night, falling to the Idaho Stampede, 118-110.

Clarkson, the Lakers’ rookie guard taken with the 46th overall pick, finished with 19 points and 10 assists. Henry, who is trying to find his way back to health after knee, wrist and ankle injuries that date to last season, also scored 19.

The D-Fenders were led by former Lakers forwards Manny Harris (28 points) and Roscoe Smith (25 points and 10 rebounds). Smith went through training camp with the Lakers but was one of the final cuts.

Both Clarkson and Henry are expected to rejoin the Lakers on Sunday when the team hosts the Denver Nuggets (5-7) at Staples Center.

Through 10 games with the Lakers, Clarkson is averaging 5 points a game while shooting 39.5% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range. Henry has played in nine games, averaging 2.2 points while shooting 23.1% from the field.

The D-Fenders are on the road for three games this current week at Westchester, Grand Rapids and Oklahoma City. The next opportunity for Clarkson and Henry to play with the Lakers’ D-League affiliate is Dec. 6 against the Reno Bighorns.
