The Kobe Bryant farewell tour kicked into high gear through Week 6, fresh off the Lakers’ veteran All-Star announcement that he’d retire after the season.

Bryant will go down as one of the greatest Lakers of all time, although where exactly on the list is debatable.

Narrowing down his career to just 10 top moments is difficult, though he has his own take on the topic.

While Bryant is not playing well this season, relax and let him enjoy his last stretch of games.

Bryant said he plans to keep emotions in check during his farewell tour.

Fans are selling his retirement letter on eBay.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant slammed the media’s treatment of Bryant. And a Cleveland Cavaliers forward blames himself for never facing Bryant in the NBA Finals.

Clippers Coach Doc Rivers was non-sentimental. Former Lakers guard Ron Harper shared stories from his days with Bryant.

Few remember that Bryant briefly attempted a rap career.

Bryant’s impending retirement could open new vistas and bring new hope for the Lakers. He made his announcement on a website Derek Jeter helped establish.

Over his career, Bryant earned nearly $330 million. The All-Star also said he’d be honored to return to the Lakers in a nonplaying capacity but he doesn’t expect to follow in Magic Johnson’s footsteps.

While the team’s youngsters are soaking in Bryant’s retirement tour, rookie D’Angelo Russell continues to learn on the fly.

After finishing Week 5 with a loss to the Indiana Pacers, the Lakers left for an eight-game road trip, starting with a visit to the winless Philadelphia 76ers.

While the home fans cheered loudly for Bryant, the Sixers got their first win of the season at the Lakers’ expense -- arguably a rock bottom for the visiting Lakers.

Magic Johnson once again criticized the team’s part-owner Jim Buss. Meanwhile, Buss has a Dana Point property on sale for $5.995 million.

The Lakers moved on to visit the Washington Wizards, finally getting a 108-104 win behind 31 points from Bryant.

The road trip continued in Atlanta, but the Lakers fell 100-87.

Another loss came in Detroit on Sunday, as the Pistons avenged a November upset to the Lakers. Bryant battled a stomach bug in Detroit, sitting out late in the game.

Bryant also said the 2004 Finals against the Pistons may be his biggest career regret.

Shaquille O’Neal said he hopes Bryant is happy as he transitions to retirement.

Finally, Luke Walton continues to thrive as interim head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
