Both Nick Young and Robert Sacre were unable to practice with the Lakers Monday because of injuries.

Young was dealing with a swollen left knee that began to bother him after Sunday night’s game against Boston. Sacre tried to practice Monday, but Lakers Coach Byron Scott said his center “felt a sharp pain” in his left foot and had to stop.

The Lakers said both Young and Sacre went to see a doctor for evaluations to determine their status.

“We have to wait until this afternoon to see how those guys are,” Scott said. “I’m not really worked up about (the injuries) right now. (Lakers trainer) Gary (Vitti) didn’t seem too overly concerned about it. But we want to make sure that there’s really nothing there before we see where those guys are.”

The Lakers don’t play again until Wednesday at Utah.

So that at least gives Young and Sacre another day to rest their injuries.
