The Bengals struck out a lot with first-round quarterback selections. Smith played in 22 games in four seasons, throwing five touchdowns versus 13 interceptions. After the Bengals let him go, Smith tried to latch on with Green Bay and Tampa Bay and failed, and then couldn’t even make it through one season in Canada with the Calgary Stampeders in 2007.
