The setting: With 1.5 seconds left, <a href="http://projects.latimes.com/lakers/player/robert-horry/">Horry</a> picked up a loose ball 25 feet from the basket, put up a shot with 0.6 seconds left and swished a three-pointer to give the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000104" title="Los Angeles Lakers" href="/topic/sports/basketball/los-angeles-lakers-ORSPT000104.topic">Lakers</a> a 100-99 victory at <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLREC000037101" title="Staples Center" href="/topic/sports/staples-center-PLREC000037101.topic">Staples Center</a>.<br> <br> The significance: The shot, which gave the Lakers their first lead since 2-0, allowed the Lakers to tie the series at 2-2. It prevented the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000115" title="Sacramento Kings" href="/topic/sports/basketball/sacramento-kings-ORSPT000115.topic">Kings</a>, who had a 24-point lead in the second quarter, from winning a third straight game and going home with a chance to end the series.
