Right-hander Stephen Strasburg was put on the 15-day disabled list by the Washington Nationals because of an upper-back strain. The move is retroactive to June 16.

The team said a corresponding roster move wouldn’t be made until Monday, when the Nationals open a three-game series at home against the New York Mets.

Strasburg is 10-0 with a 2.90 earned-run average.

Toronto right-handed reliever Gavin Floyd was put on the DL because of shoulder tightness.

Floyd is 2-4 with a 4.06 ERA in 28 games.

Reyes plays in minors

Jose Reyes, who Saturday signed a minor league deal with the Mets, was hitless in three at-bats for Class-A Brooklyn against Hudson Valley. He was removed after playing six innings at third base.

Reyes, 33, was a shortstop with the Mets from 2003 to 2011. He was released by Colorado after serving a 59-day suspension for violating MLB’s domestic violence policy.
