American teenager Claressa Shields won her semifinal against Marina Volnova of Kazakhstan, and will compete in the middleweight gold-medal match. Team USA’s flyweight hopeful Marlen Esparza was taken out of gold-medal contention by China’s Ren Cancan, but leaves with a bronze medal.
