James Harden had 50 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and the Houston Rockets beat the winless Philadelphia 76ers, 116-114, on Friday night.

Harden was 14 for 28 from the field and 16 for 20 at the line in his third career game with 50 or more points. He is averaging 36.2 points in his last five games.

Philadelphia moved one loss away from matching the New Jersey Nets’ NBA-worst mark of 18 losses to open a season. The Sixers have dropped 27 in a row dating to last season.

Golden State 135, at Phoenix 116: Stephen Curry scored 41 points in three quarters, Draymond Green had a triple-double and the Warriors beat the Suns, extending their NBA-record start to 17-0.

Miami 97, at New York 78: Gerald Green scored a season-high 25 points while starting in place of Luol Deng, and the Heat beat the Knicks.

Cleveland 95, at Charlotte 90: LeBron James had 25 points and 13 rebounds, extending his personal run of dominance against the Hornets and leading the Cavaliers to a victory.

Atlanta 116, at Memphis 101: Paul Millsap had 23 points and 14 rebounds, one of six Hawks players who scored in double figures during a victory over the Grizzlies.

at Boston 111, Washington 78.: Jared Sullinger had 18 points and 15 rebounds in three quarters and Isaiah Thomas scored 21 points, leading the Celtics past the Wizards.

at Oklahoma City 103, Detroit 87: Kevin Durant had 34 points and 13 rebounds to help the Thunder beat the Pistons for its fourth consecutive win

San Antonio 91, at Denver 80: Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points, and the Spurs beat the Nuggets for their fourth win in a row.

Minnesota 101, at Sacramento 91: Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points, Zach LaVine had 19 points and eight rebounds, and the Timberwolves got a big game from their reserves in a win over the Kings.

at Orlando 114, Milwaukee 90: Elfrid Payton had 22 points and 10 assists, and the Magic beat the Bucks.
