John Wall had 28 points and 17 assists, Bradley Beal scored 26, and the Washington Wizards defeated New York, 111-108, Tuesday night in the Knicks’ first game under interim Coach Kurt Rambis.

Wall made four free throws in the final 6.6 seconds at Madison Square Garden and the Wizards held on when Langston Galloway’s three-point attempt at the buzzer was just short.

Carmelo Anthony had 33 points and 13 rebounds, but the Knicks lost their sixth straight in their first game since firing coach Derek Fisher on Monday. They have dropped 10 of 11 and started Rambis’ era the same way Fisher’s ended, by quickly falling in a huge early hole.

at Golden State 123, Houston 110: Stephen Curry had 35 points and nine assists, and the Warriors surged in the fourth quarter to earn their 42nd consecutive home victory over two seasons, within two of matching the Chicago Bulls’ NBA-record streak of 44 straight home wins from March 30, 1995, to April 4, 1996. Golden State, which outscored the Rockets 30-17 in the final quarter, won its 10th straight game to improve to 24-0 at home this season and 47-4 overall.

San Antonio 119, at Miami 101: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points, Kawhi Leonard had 23 and the Spurs got seven points on one possession in the fourth quarter to help them beat the Heat for the sixth straight time going back to the 2014 NBA Finals. Miami center Hassan Whiteside was assessed a flagrant-2 foul and ejected for elbowing the Spurs’ Boban Marjanovic, and the resulting free throws were part of a seven-point trip for the Spurs, who pushed an 87-80 lead to 94-80 in 16 seconds.

Utah 121, at Dallas 119 (OT): Gordon Hayward hit a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer in overtime and the Jazz extended its season-best winning streak to seven games. Rodney Hood, who finished with a game-high 29 points, made a tying three-pointer with 1.5 seconds left in regulation to help Utah end a 10-game losing streak in Dallas. The Jazz’s last win on the Mavericks’ home court was Jan. 9, 2010. It was Dallas’ second straight overtime game and NBA-high eighth of the season.

at Milwaukee 112, Boston 111: Khris Middleton made one of two free throws with 0.6 of a second left, the Bucks ended a five-game losing streak despite blowing a 19-point fourth-quarter lead. A foul by Avery Bradley put Middleton at the line. Milwaukee appeared to have won the game on Greg Monroe’s shot with one second left, giving the Bucks a 111-109 lead. But the Celtics’ Kelly Olynyk then drew a foul with no time expiring off the clock and made both free throws.
