Le’Veon Bell could miss multiple games for violating the NFL’s drug policy for the second straight season, according to multiple media reports.

ESPN and NFL.com are reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers running back is facing a four-game suspension for missing at least one drug test. He missed the first two games of last season after his 2014 arrest on suspicion of DUI and possession of marijuana.

Bell is said to be appealing the suspension.

But if it stands, the Steelers play the first quarter of the season without a dynamic player who has 2,777 yards and 19 touchdowns rushing and 1,389 yards and three touchdowns receiving in three seasons.

In addition to his suspension last season, Bell missed the final eight games with a knee injury. The Steelers went 7-3 in his absence, with veteran DeAngelo Williams filling in at running back. Williams is still on the Steelers roster.

Bell is going into the final year of his rookie contract and hinted in a rap song this off-season that he’s looking for $15 million a season on his next deal.

The Steelers will also be without explosive receiver Martavis Bryant, who is suspended at least one season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
