Josh Scobee kicks the Jaguars to their first win

He makes a 21-yarder with 2:33 left, then a 51-yarder with four seconds to go as Jacksonville slips past Indianapolis.

INDIANAPOLIS -- Josh Scobee proved that Jacksonville's traditional formula still works.

After the Jaguars wore out the Indianapolis Colts' defense on the ground, Scobee saved the game -- and perhaps the season -- by making a 51-yard field goal with four seconds left to give Jacksonville a 23-21 victory, its first at Indianapolis since 2004.

 
It didn't look as if Jacksonville (1-2) would need Scobee's kick after consuming more than 12 minutes on a fourth-quarter drive capped by his 21-yarder for a 20-14 lead with 2:33 left.

Peyton Manning nearly pulled off his second comeback in two weeks. He needed just 1:26 to take the Colts (1-2) 77 yards, giving the ball to Joseph Addai for a two-yard touchdown run with 1:07 to go.

Jacksonville was on the verge of falling to 0-3 for the first time since 2003.
