Update: This is the only regular-season meeting between these interconference rivals. In their sole match last year, Chivas USA and New England played to a 1-1 tie. After briefly climbing out of the Western Conference cellar this season, Chivas USA again is in last place after losing four of its last five games. The team most recently played to a scoreless draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps last Saturday at StubHub Center. New England, in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, is coming off a 1-1 tie with the Portland Timbers a week ago at Gillette Stadium.
