GALAXY TONIGHT

VS. SAN JOSE

Where: StubHub Center.

On the air: TV: ESPN, ESPN Deportes; Radio: 1150, 1330.

Records: Galaxy 15-11-6, Earthquakes 13-11-8.

Update: A victory over San Jose or a tie will secure a postseason berth for the Galaxy, which has won the MLS championship the last two years. After this match, the Galaxy has one game left in the regular season, against the Sounders in Seattle on Oct. 27. This is the third match of the season between the Galaxy and San Jose. The Earthquakes won, 3-2, on June 29 at Stanford Stadium, and the Galaxy shut out San Jose, 3-0, on Aug. 31 at StubHub Center. Landon Donovan, the Galaxy’s star forward, has been struggling because of a sore right ankle. But if he plays Sunday, he’ll have the opportunity to become the all-time MLS scoring leader. He’s currently tied with Jeff Cunningham for the regular-season lead in goals with 134.
