Update: This is the last regular-season game that will help decide the first-round playoff positions for the clubs, both of which have clinched postseason berths in Major League Soccer’s Western Conference. The teams have met twice this season, both times at StubHub Center, with the Galaxy winning, 4-0, on May 26, and the teams playing to a 1-1 tie Sept. 21. If the Galaxy’s Landon Donovan can score, he’ll set the MLS all-time regular-season scoring record. He’s tied for first with Jeff Cunningham with 134 goals. Seattle’s star forward, Clint Dempsey, has played eight games since joining the Sounders in August but has not scored.
