It’s WrestleMania season for WWE, and that means it’s time for World Wrestling Entertainment to start making its weekly announcements of who is going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Last night on its flagship “Monday Night Raw” television show, WWE announced this year’s headliner: Former Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, who won multiple championships when he performed for WWE from 1998 to 2006.

“Kurt Angle’s accomplishments both in the Olympics and WWE were extraordinary,” WWE Executive Vice President Paul Levesque said in a statement. “He was one of the most gifted athletes to ever enter the ring, and we are honored to welcome him into the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Besides competing as a pro wrestler, Angle won gold for the U.S. in wrestling at the 1996 Atlanta Games despite competing with a broken neck.
