Riverside’s former two-division world champion Mikey Garcia announced his comeback fight from an extended contract dispute with his former promoter, Top Rank, will be against Elio Rojas on July 30 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Showtime will televise the bout.

“The best of my career is what’s next,” Garcia said at a Saturday news conference at Barclays Center. “I think you’ll remember me most for what I achieve for here on forward than for what I’ve done. The best challenges are next ... .”

Garcia (34-0, 28 knockouts) hasn’t fought since successfully defending his World Boxing Organization super-featherweight title on Jan. 25, 2014.

The July 30 bout, which will serve as the co-main event to the WBA featherweight title bout between Southland fighter Leo Santa Cruz and Ireland’s Carl Frampton, will likely be fought at a catchweight below the light-welterweight 140-pound limit.

Rojas (24-2) is a former featherweight champion from the Dominican Republic who’s been sidelined since August 2014.
