Raiders are reportedly looking into acquiring retired RB Marshawn Lynch from the Seahawks

Beast Mode could be coming to the Oakland Raiders.

That is, if the Raiders acquire Marshawn Lynch from the Seattle Seahawks.

And if the star running back decides to come out of retirement.

That’s a couple of pretty big ifs. Nonetheless, the Raiders are looking into obtaining the rights to the Skittles-loving, media-hating player from the Seahawks, according to multiple media reports Friday morning.

But there’s no indication the Raiders have contacted the Seahawks about the matter at this point, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

The 30-year-old Lynch, who grew up in Oakland and is still active in the community, played nine years in the NFL with Buffalo and Seattle, winning a Super Bowl with the Seahawks after the 2013 season.

After missing more than half of his team’s games in 2015 due to injury, Lynch famously hung up his cleats on Super Bowl Sunday that season.

He went on to retire and did not play in 2016. Asked in June if he was fine with never playing in the NFL again, Lynch responded, “Oh yeah, I’m good. I enjoyed my time.”

The Raiders appear to be in need of help at running back after choosing not to re-sign 27-year-old Pro Bowler Latavius Murray, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings earlier this week.
