Adam Scott lures caddie Steve Williams back to work

Something has been missing from Adam Scott’s golf game this season. That something would be caddie Steve Williams.

But on Monday, Scott announced that he had coaxed Williams out of semi-retirement, reuniting the two for a string of major tournaments in the coming months.

Williams first gained fame working the bag of Tiger Woods for many years.

After a not-so-pleasant split with Woods, Williams helped Scott win the 2013 Masters and rise to No. 1 in the world.

This season, Scott has slipped to No. 12. He announced that Williams will be on his bag for the U.S. Open, the British Open, the PGA Championship and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

“Steve was adamant that he was not going to caddie in 2015, so he took some convincing, but I am very happy he’s agreed to help out,” Scott told multiple news outlets. “We’ve had great success together, so I’m looking forward to being on the links with Steve again.”
