Angels activate Collin Cowgill, put Michael Morin on disabled list
The Angels reinstated outfielder Collin Cowgill from the 15-day disabled list on Monday and put right-hander Michael Morin on the DL with a left foot laceration.
Cowgill was hitting .277 when he went on the DL last month with fractures to his nose and right thumb. During a three-game rehab assignment with triple-A Salt Lake he was four for 12 with two doubles and two walks.
Morin was 3-3 with a 2.36 earned-run average in 41 relief appearances. He was injured during the Angels’ recent series at Tampa Bay. His stint on the DL is retroactive to Friday.
