Bears’ Jay Cutler injured on record-setting sack
On the same play Jay Cutler broke an NFL team record no quarterback would want to break, the Washington Redskins broke Cutler.
The Chicago quarterback was sacked in the second quarter by Washington defensive lineman Chris Baker, marking the 158th time Cutler has been sacked since coming to the Bears, breaking the team record of Jim Harbaugh.
This time, though, Cutler didn’t immediately rise to his feet — he sustained a groin injury that ended his day. The severity of the injury is unknown.
Cutler has not started all 16 games in a season since 2009, his first year with the Bears.
