The Clippers are set to play on Christmas Day for the third consecutive year, an indication of how far they have come and the star power they have in Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

The Clippers are to play the Golden State Warriors in Oakland in the latest round of what has become a bitter and heated feud. The Clippers won the first meeting this year, at Staples Center on Halloween night.

The Clippers and Warriors played on Christmas night two years ago in Oakland, and the Clippers played the Denver Nuggets last year on Christmas at Staples Center.

So it seems as playing on Christmas is becoming a tradition for the Clippers.
“You still look at it as an honor too,” Coach Doc Rivers said. “That’s the way I try to look at it, that our team is playing on Christmas Day. The league feels that we are worthy of that. So we should look at it as an honor.”
