Danica Patrick, a month removed from speculation that she might lose her starring role with GoDaddy.com, will star in two more spots for the Internet domain provider during the 2013 Super Bowl.

With GoDaddy.com turning over production of the commercials to Deutsch Inc., many began to wonder if Patrick was on her way out as GoDaddy’s pitch person.

GoDaddy.com founder and chief executive Bob Parsons announced Thursday that Patrick will be in both commercials to air during the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.

“I definitely thought there was a chance I wouldn’t be in them,” Patrick said. “It was a pleasant surprise that he announced I would be in both of them. I was thinking one. To hear two, it did surprise me a little bit.”

Parsons had little doubt that Patrick would continue her role with GoDaddy.com.

“GoDaddy and Danica are a team and we’ve been a team for a long time,” he said. “It would be difficult to figure out who has benefited the most from our relationship. I would think GoDaddy would have a little more.

“It’s been a true partnership, and I don’t see that ending any time soon.”

Patrick has appeared in more Super Bowl commercials than any celebrity, with 10. The GoDaddy spots often featured her scantily clad and in suggestive situations. GoDaddy toned down the commercials beginning in 2012.

“We’re going to make that record hard to beat,” Patrick said. “I am always so honored to be in those commercials. I feel like we have made a lot of people laugh and made a lot of people smile and had a lot of fun with them.

“I’m going to start doing sit-ups now.”
