There was no immediate makeup date set by the schools.
Even though the weather is improving in the Boulder area, school was canceled through Friday and many students have been displaced by Thursday's flooding.
"Our community is hurting," Colorado Chancellor Philip DiStefano said in a news release. “Many of our students are displaced from their homes, including many of our student-athletes. This is not an appropriate time for us to hold a game that would put pressure on the community, both in terms of security/emergency personnel, but also in diverting attention from people in need.”
Colorado is off to a 2-0 start and was hoping to avenge one of the most humiliating defeats in program history. Last year, the Buffaloes lost at Fresno State, 69-14. Fresno State led, 35-0, after one quarter.
