Should Tim Tebow replace Mark Sanchez as Jets’ starter? [Poll]

Share

Mark Sanchez is still the New York Jets starting quarterback. Tim Tebow is still the team’s backup. So says Coach Rex Ryan.

Even though Sanchez was largely ineffective, once again, in a 30-9 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.

Even though the Jets are 3-5 and in last place in the AFC East.

Even though fans were chanting Tebow’s name throughout the game.

Even though the Jets are heading into their bye week, which would be an ideal time to make such a change.

But Ryan answered “yes” when asked after the game if he was sticking with Sanchez, who completed 28 of 54 passes with one touchdown and one interception for a passer rating of 65.6 against the Dolphins.

“I believe in all of our players, and I believe in Mark,” Ryan said. “I think Mark has proven that he can win in this league. I think he gives us our best chance to win. That’s my opinion and that’s the one that matters.”

We’ve asked before and, given Ryan’s comments above, we’ll probably ask it again: Who do you think should be the Jets’ starting quarterback? Please vote in the poll, then leave a comment explaining why you voted the way you did.
