Texas A&M's star quarterback Johnny Manziel has earned a lot of mock nicknames this off-season.
He's been called Johnny Football, Johnny Hancock, Johnny Dangerously, Johnny Paycheck and, if he's forced to miss some games this year, someone suggested Johnny Bench.
Add this one: Johnny Second Team.
This is news because Manziel is coming off a spectacular season in which he won the Heisman Trophy.
Read into this what you want: SEC coaches could not vote for their own players and could be sending out an anti-Manziel message after an off-sesaon during which he made almost as many headlines as he did playing last season.
Or, coaches dinged Manziel because they're not sure how many games he'll play this season as the NCAA investigates whether he took money for autographs.
Or, the coaches simply chose to honor a senior, Murray, who threw for 3,893 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2012.
South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, not surprisingly, was named to the first-team defense. He was the only Gamedock player on the first team offense or defense.
