Lakers Coach Byron Scott said he spoke with two players who were accused of harassing a woman and her mother Sunday night in Hollywood.

Alexis Jones said she and her mother were stopped at an intersection in their car when a sport utility vehicle allegedly driven by Young stopped next to them.

At least one of the players gestured obscenely, Jones told the Los Angeles Times. Young dismissed the allegation with a tweet that was quickly deleted from his account.

“I talked to my guys about it and obviously our organization is looking into it very seriously,” Scott said Tuesday. “We had a good, candid conversation and we left it at that.”

Scott declined to say whether the players were apologetic. He was more inclined to speak about the power of social media.

“We’re living in a society today with camera phones and all the other stuff that you’ve got at your disposal. Guys are at risk, so they’ve just got to be careful,” Scott said.

Jones uploaded photos of Young and Clarkson in an SUV on her Instagram page. The players were not gesturing in the photos.
