Lamar Odom’s arrest Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence is the latest in a series of developments that have worried friends and former teammates and coaches of the veteran forward.

“What is going on with my may @RealLamarOdom,” tweeted super fan Clipper Darrell. “he [sic] got arrested at 3:54am for DUI ..this is CRAZY!!! I LOVE YOU LO!!!”

The Clippers, Odom’s most recent team, declined to comment on his arrest after a California Highway Patrol officer allegedly spotted him driving erratically on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley. Odom, 33, spent about 3 1/2 hours in jail and was released after posting $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Van Nuys Municipal Court on Sept. 27.

Odom’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, did not immediately return a call concerning his client, who is a free agent.

Earlier this week, Pau Gasol tweeted his concern about his longtime former teammate with the Lakers as reports surfaced from gossip websites about Odom’s alleged drug use and problems with his marriage to Khloe Kardashian.

“I wish my friend @RealLamarOdom is [sic] doing well,” Gasol tweeted Tuesday. “All these rumors are really worrying me. Lamar is one of the best guys I’ve ever played with.”

The previous day, Magic Johnson tweeted, “I hope my man and former Laker, Lamar Odom is doing okay.”

Replied former Lakers Coach Phil Jackson via Twitter: “Double ditto, LO.”
