Arrest warrant issued for NASCAR driver accused of stealing

NASCAR is known for its feuds, but would a driver ever stoop to stealing another competitor’s cars?

Authorities in North Carolina have issued arrest warrants for NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Mike Harmon and a business associate, who are accused of stealing at least seven vehicles from fellow NASCAR competitor Jennifer Jo Cobb, according to WBTV in Charlotte, N.C.

Police allege Harmon and business associate David Novak stole the cars from Cobb at the end of last year. Authorities told WBTV that two cars and five trucks were recovered by police from facilities that Harmon owned.

Harmon was arrested in May on suspicion of stealing a vehicle transporter belonging to Cobb. According to WBTV, the stolen hauler has not been recovered. Harmon insists he is innocent.

“People that know me know that I didn’t do this. It’s ridiculous,” Harmon told WBTV.
