400-yard passers are almost becoming commonplace in the NFL

So another NFL quarterback threw for 400 yards?

What else is new?

Heading into Monday night’s Pittsburgh-Cincinnati game, there have been six 400-yard-passing performances this season, the most of any two-week span in NFL history.

And Sunday, three quarterbacks threw for at least 400 yards without an interception -- Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, Philadelphia’s Michael Vick and San Diego’s Philip Rivers -- the most such performances in league history.

There have been five 400-yard, zero-interception performances in the first two weeks this season, and that’s only one off the record for a season.
