Notah Begay III, a four-time PGA Tour winner and current television analyst, is recovering from a heart attack suffered last week.

The Golf Channel announced on Tuesday that Begay suffered the attack in Dallas last week and underwent a procedure to unblock his right coronary artery.

“I anticipate a full recovery and feel lucky to be at home resting with my family,” Begay said in a statement. “I appreciate the outpouring of well wishes I’ve received from family, friends and fans, and I will be back covering golf once I’m fully recovered.”

The 41-year-old, a Navajo from New Mexico, was a teammate of Tiger Woods at Stanford in the mid-1990s. His pro career was ultimately hampered by back injuries.

Begay is expected back on the air for NBC Sports and the Golf Channel in a few weeks.
