At his introductory news conference in Denver, new Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning welcomed the opportunity to be Tim Tebow’s teammate, but then threw in an interesting comment. See if you can read between the lines.

Talking about Tebow, Manning said, “But if other opportunities are presented to him, I’m going to wish him the best.”

In other words, bye-bye Tim.

Manning, however, says he has no inside information on Tebow’s future. “Those aren’t my decisions, those conversations never came up.”

He did have words of praise for Tebow: “I know what kind of player Tim Tebow is, what kind of person he is, what an awesome year it was. If Tim Tebow is here, I’m going to be the best teammate.”

If he’s here. Doesn’t sound like he will be though. Maybe the Colts can trade for him. There must be some team out there that would like to have him. After all, it took signing perhaps the greatest quarterback in history for him to lose his job.
