St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long was ejected from the team’s game at Carolina on Sunday after a multiplayer skirmish in the third quarter.

It was difficult to see exactly what happened in the scrum, but it appeared to start with shoving between Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and some Panthers offensive linemen.

Shortly thereafter, Long jumped into the fray and aggressively tried to pull Carolina players out of the pack.

Flags flew, and Long was ejected as Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and tight end Ben Hartsock gleefully motioned him off the field.

At least one spectator tossed something at Long as he made his way to the locker room.
