Poll: Who will win the Super Bowl, Broncos or Seahawks?

Super Bowl XLVIII pits the AFC champion Denver Broncos against the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday with the NFL championship at stake.

It’s the rare matchup of the No. 1 offense in football, led by legendary quarterback Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ bevy of offensive weapons, against play-making cornerback Richard Sherman and the Seahawks’ Legion of Boom, which happens to be the league’s top-ranked defense.

It’s the first Super Bowl to be played outdoors in a cold-weather climate, but the polar vortex is gone and it’s expected to be about 49 degrees when they kick off at 3:25 p.m. PST at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Manning is a sentimental favorite as he seeks his second Super Bowl victory, while the Broncos’ prolific offense, which set a record with 606 points and Manning’s 55 touchdown passes, is a fan favorite.

The Seahawks are old-school cool with an in-your-face defense that shuts down the run, pressures the quarterback and has big-play defenders on the line and in the secondary. They have beastly running back Marshawn Lynch and calm-as-they-come quarterback Russell Wilson.
