Arian Foster is no longer a member of the Houston Texans.

After seven seasons, 6,472 yards and 54 touchdowns, the Texans have decided to cut their all-time leading rusher, according to multiple media reports.

Foster was set to make $6.5 million next season, but last week Texans General Manager Rick Smith said that would have nothing to do with any decisions regarding the 2010 NFL rushing champ.

"I will tell you this -- his salary is not a reason why we would cut Arian," Smith said at the time.

More likely, the move had to do with injuries. Foster missed half the 2013 season after undergoing microscopic lumbar discectomy surgery, and played just the first four games last year before rupturing an Achilles tendon.

The four-time Pro Bowler is said to have just recently been cleared to start jogging.
