Tiger Woods cool to Twitter despite nudging from Lindsey Vonn
Tiger Woods seldom says much on Twitter despite having 3.7 million followers and being nudged by his girlfriend, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, to tweet more often.
“As far as her convincing me to tweet more, yes, she certainly has hinted that,” Woods said Wednesday at Sherwood Country Club, site of his charity golf tournament that starts Thursday.
Vonn, 29, tweets more frequently and has about 253,790 followers.
“But I grew up in a different era and it’s a little bit different for me,” said Woods, 37. “I’m still a little bit old school.”
The world’s top-ranked golfer said of Twitter: “I’m kind of getting towards it, but still not quite grasping the whole concept yet.”
“But I’ll get there eventually,” Woods said.
