UCLA basketball: Bruins dust off series with Oklahoma in Bahamas

Share

UCLA leaves the country this basketball season, playing in the Bahamas.

The Bruins will get Oklahoma in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis on Nov. 26. They have never lost to the Sooners, going 3-0.

Of course, UCLA has not played Oklahoma since John Wooden’s last season (1974-75). The Sooners were 23-10 last season and return four starters from a 2014 NCAA tournament team.

UCLA could get North Carolina in the second round.

The good news for Bruins fans? UCLA can’t face Florida until the championship (or consolation championship) game. The Gators have been tough for the Bruins in tournaments, at least the NCAA tournament.

UCLA has lost to Florida four times in the tournament, including the South Regional semifinals last season.
