Tickets for next month’s CONCACAF Confederations Cup soccer game at the Rose Bowl already are selling for up to $5,000 on the secondary market. But there’s a much cheaper way to see the game while still getting the fan experience.

And you don’t have to worry about the weather — or even being in Pasadena — to do it.

Fathom Events has partnered with Fox Sports 1 to make the TV broadcast of the game between Mexico and the U.S. available in more than 230 movie theaters across the country, including nearly two dozen in Southern California. That number could increase, depending on demand.

Tickets for the movie presentation will go on sale Friday at participating box offices and at www.FathomEvents.com, which also will feature a list of theater locations.

The winner of the playoff game between the region’s bitterest soccer rivals will earn the right to represent CONCACAF in the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
