USC’s Cody Kessler is among 32 quarterbacks on the watchlist for the Manning Award, presented annually to college football’s top quarterback.

Former USC quarterback Matt Leinart was the first winner of the award in 2005.

Kessler is preparing for his second season as the Trojans starter.

In 2013, Kessler passed for 2,968 yards and 20 touchdowns, with seven interceptions. He helped lead the Trojans to a 10-4 record.

UCLA’s Brett Hundley, Oregon’s Marcus Mariota, Oregon State’s Sean Mannion, Arizona State’s Taylor Kelly, Stanford’s Kevin Hogan and Washington State’s Connor Halliday also are on the Manning Award watchlist.
