USC football: Tailback Ty Isaac will transfer
USC sophomore tailback Ty Isaac will transfer, the school announced.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Isaac played in 14 games and rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns in 40 carries last season as a freshman.
Chris Swanson of uscfootball.com first reported Isaac’s intent to transfer.
Isaac came to USC from Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy.
USC said on its website that Isaac would “return home to be near his family and take care of an ill relative.”
Isaac’s departure leaves the Trojans with four scholarship tailbacks.
Junior Javorius Allen rushed for 785 yards last season, junior Tre Madden 703 and sophomore Justin Davis 389. Senior D.J. Morgan sat out last season because of a knee injury.
